Fox Valley Lacrosse

Congratulations on making the team and welcome (or welcome back!) to Fox Valley Lacrosse! 

At Fox Valley, we don’t think of it only as a spring lacrosse team for your son, we consider everyone part of the Fox Valley Lacrosse Family.  Over the last four years, Fox Valley Lacrosse has experienced significant growth in membership, and our primary focus has been, and will continue to be, securing a top notch coaching staff that will support the development of your son’s lacrosse skills, as well as create a positive teaming environment. 

As we ramp for a great spring season and tournament play, there are several opportunities for parents to get involved in several areas of our club – both on and off the field - that will help us maintain a positive experience for the entire family!

There are three areas of volunteer opportunities:

1.      Board membership

2.      Club level volunteer

3.      Team level volunteer

Fox Valley Lacrosse will be holding elections for board members prior to the start of spring season.  Positions include: 

President

Vice President

Secretary

Treasurer

Director of Coaching

Director of Fields and Equipment

Director of Communications

If you are interested in a volunteer position on the board, please complete the  application  and submit foxvalleylacrosseclub@foxvalleylax.com by February 24^th.

Currently, we are seeking volunteers to support the overall club that involves activities that support our travel and/or non-travel teams:

1.     Tournament Coordinator - Border Wars Tournament/Round Robin
 

2.     Board support in any of the following areas:
Fundraising
Medical
Legal
Philanthropy 

3.     Game Day Commissioner

Supports Director of Fields and Equipment

Coordinates/Schedules various teams to ensure fields are set up at start of game day: goals, scorer tables, clocks/timers, cones, balls set up on field

Coordinates transition of equipment from one game to next

Ensures trash/garbage/water bottles…clean-up after each game and end of game day

Coordinates/Schedules break down and storage of all game day equipment at conclusion of home games

Coordinates with Director of Fields and Equipment with any issues with fields, or lost and found items

4.     Central Scheduling Coordinator

Supports Director of Coaching

Attends league scheduling meetings

Maintains master schedules for all teams – IBLA and tournaments
Responsible for team communications about any changes to game times/locations, as well as cancellations.

In addition to club level volunteer opportunities, Fox Valley needs support at the team level!  As we know with any sport, there are numerous activities to prepare for in advance of games, during games, and even post-game.  Below are the general areas where volunteers are needed for each team to ensure the game experience goes smoothly for our players, coaches, and cheering families!
